I first heard Lido Pimenta’s voice in one of my favorite Chancha Via Circuito’s songs, and was later guided towards her solo music by a friend. Now I’m hooked.
What I love so much about Lido Pimenta’s music is how she infuses traditional indigenous elements into her innovative music. She explores topics of motherhood, race, gender, and latinx identity in her music and her art. Lido so clearly has a vision for her work and I love it.
